Loretta Marie Kern Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta Marie Kern (Fairview Heights, Illinois), who passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kiefer and Lenora Kiefer (Vermeulen); her brothers, Vincent and Clarence Kiefer; and her husband Marshall C. Kern.
She is survived by: her children, Marsha Karwoski (James) of Shiloh, IL, Patty Isbill (Terry) of Fairview Heights, IL, Larry Kern (Melinda) of O'Fallon, IL and Tim Kern of Fairview Heights, IL; her grandchildren, Brendan Karwoski, Danielle McCarthy (Connor), Chris Broadway, Lara Kern and Adam Kern (Emily); her great grandchildren, Patrick, Reagan, Sloane and Odin; and her sister-in-law Betty Wenkel. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (505 Fountains Pkwy, Fairview Heights, IL 62208). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church so that she may continue her legacy of involvement, even from beyond the grave.
