It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laurence F. Fournie (Fairview Heights, Illinois), born in Belleville, Illinois, who passed away on December 10, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurence D. Fournie and Olinda Fournie (Nee Daubach); his wife Janice Fournie (Mercurio); and his sister Anna Mae Johnson of Lewes, Delaware.. He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Hyde (Paul) of St. Louis, MO and Angela Bainter (Roper) of Belleville, IL; his friend Greg Coates of Belleville, IL; and his grandchildren, Lila Rose Hyde and Henry Laurence Hyde.
Cremation burial will be held at Lake View Memorial Gardens, and although there won't be any kind of official service, Laurence requests that "instead of flowers, he hopes that you will do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone in need in his name".
