He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia; his son Eric D.; and his grandsons, Kevin Jr. and Joshua Nater. He is survived by: his sons, James M. Elkins (Charlene) and Kevin D. Elkins; and his former wives, Sharon and Laura. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
