He was predeceased by: his parents, George Holbert and Gerthene Holbert (Talley); his children, Elbert Holbert, Jr. and Kathy Holbert; his siblings, Joseph and Joyce; and his former wife Katherine Holbert (Hall).
He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn (Moore Prince); his children, Sherman Hall (Della) of Nashville, TN, Ronald Holbert (Yvonne) of Springfield, TN, Melissa Hailey (Oscar) of Atlanta, GA and Terry Holbert (Sandra) of Virginia; and his stepchildren, Timothy Prince of Tennessee and Teresa Prince of Illinois. He is also survived by several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
