She was predeceased by: her husband Howard "Bud" Fonger; her son Timothy Fonger; her parents, William Zwiers and Orion Zwiers; and her sister Beverly Henry.
She is survived by: her children, Karlyle B. Fonger of Las Vegas, NV, Sharon C. Fonger of Fairview Heights, IL. and Karen S. Dew of Troy, IL; her grandchildren, Jamie Calhoun (David) of Waynesville, MO, Dawn Miller (Bradley) of Troy, IL and Danielle Bowman (Todd) of Columbus, OH; her great grandchild Taylor Berberich (Benjamin) of Honolulu, HI; and her son-in-law Richard Dew.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kassly Mortuary (9900 St Clair Ave, Fairview Heights, IL 62208). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Kassly Mortuary, Ltd. (9900 St Clair Ave, Fairview Heights, IL 62208).
