He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Phillip Gaffney and Opal Elder Gaffney; his wife Margie J. Farnum; his children, Ronald E. Gaffney II (Merry Chris) of Fairmount, Kyle W. Gaffney (Susan) of San Antonio, Texas and Brenda Davis (Darin) of Fairmount, Illinois; his sister Phyllis Mattingly of Danville, Illinois; and his daughter Vickie Lynn Gaffney. He was also cherished by ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
