She was predeceased by: her husband Frank G. Zakszewski of Fairmont City, IL; her son Kirk Douglas Fernandez; her parents, Roy Franklin Reid and Bertha Amelia Childress Reid; and her siblings, Wayne Reid, Richard Reid, Frank Cravens "Sam" Reid, William "Bill" Franklin Reid, Alfred Homer Reid, Martha F. Reid, Shirlene Edmunds (Reid) and Cecil Allen "Buck" Reid.

She is survived by: her children, Lisa Dawn Fernandez of Granite City, IL and Rocky Fernandez of Ohio. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

The family requests that any remembrances can be made in the form of donations to St. John's Cemetery Association or any other favorite charity in Louise's name.
