She is survived by: her grandchildren, Lyna Benson of Mt. Vernon, Jackie Kroeschen of Mt. Vernon, Carl Elliott of Mt. Vernon, Chad Weedman of Carbondale and Jennifer Weedman of Fairfield; and her daughter-in-law Stephanie Young-Elliott of Fairfield, Illinois..

“Alma was my aunt, my mother's youngest sister, whom I did not know well, as we moved to Washington State when I was 5. On one of our visits (I was still young, maybe 8 or 9), I remember holding her baby - it was a lovely summer day and we were gathered for lunch - the baby wiggled out of my arms and fell to the ground, unhurt but the memory still pains me. On later visits, I remember Aunt Alma's fabulous pies, rivaling my mother's wonderful pies. May she rest in peace.”
