As we bid adieu to Shirley's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Shirley has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice L. McDermott and Maude B. Busick McDermott; her husband Virgil H. Hulse; and her grandson Eric Lopez. She is survived by: her children, Deborah Lopez (Norm) of Normal, IL, Linda Guminski (George) of Normal, IL and David Hulse (Donna Hustedt) of Paxton, IL. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (106 W Cherry St, Fairbury, IL 61739). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family suggests memorials be given to Dominy Memorial Library or the Trinity Lutheran Church, both in Fairbury.
