She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Rufus Dewey and Evelyn Starnes McCarter; her husband Roger Bachtold; her children, Dorothy Goodman (Dennis) of Sabetha, KS, Lorraine Bider (Joseph) of Aurora, IL, Sarah Bachtold of Fairbury, IL, Roger Bachtold (Debra) of Fairbury, IL, Jon Bachtold (Melinda) of Denton, TX, Joseph Bachtold (Cathy) of Fairbury, IL and Mathew Bachtold (Jill) of Spring Hill, KS; and her siblings, Christine Greatsinger (John) of Sumrall, MS, Norma Standford of Poplarville, MS and Gary McCarter (Cindy) of Purvis, MS. She was also cherished by twenty grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be given to Be Missional Inc., 20810 South Barker Road, Spring Hill, KS 66083, a nonprofit foundation she created.
