He was predeceased by: his brother Steve Steidinger; and his son Travis Steidinger. He is survived by: his parents, Gene Steidinger and Alice Steidinger (Nash); and his children, Kevin Steidinger (Jennifer) of Forrest, Kylee Steidinger of Strawn, Sierra Steidinger of Fairbury, Sarina Steidinger of Chenoa, Jackson Steidinger of Naples, FL, Dalton Steidinger of Fairbury and Wyatt Steidinger of Fairbury. He is also survived by five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family of Russell "Rick" Steidinger.
