She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Metz and Martha Haab Metz; her siblings, Earl, Ivan, MaryAnn Plattner, Ruth Thiel, Betty Nussbaum and Mildred Allen; and her husband Robert Toombs.
She is survived by: her children, Jean Essington of Indianapolis, IN, Tom Toombs (Gayle) of Monticello, IL, Tim Toombs (Denise Flora) of Apex, NC, Julie Delheimer (Doug) of Nashville, TN and Ted Toombs.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Fairview Haven Retirement Community, or OSF Hospice in Bloomington.
