He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Nussbaum and Magdalena "Lena" Nussbaum (Schwing); his wife Billie; his daughter Lisa Nussbaum; and his siblings, Richard, Maurice Nussbaum, Wilma Knapp and Marjorie Stephens.
He is survived by: his children, Nelson Nussbaum (Karen) of Ottawa and Jill Davis of Fairbury; his grandchildren, Chad Davis (Annie), Tara Wamsley (Chad), JB Nussbaum (Katie), Wendi Zimmerman (Ryan), McKinley Nussbaum (Ken Chiang) and Kaci Fischer (Chase); and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Madison, Harmony, Alexis, Jaxon, Gavin, Sofie, Josie, Charlotte, Hadley, Kennedy, Chloe, Ellie, Julia and Quinn.
