It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Cordelia Schmidtgall of Fairbury, Illinois, born in Streator, Illinois, who passed away on June 25, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wheaton and Mary Wheaton (Martin); her husband Leroy Schmidtgall; her son Wayne Schmidtgall; and her son-in-law Jimmy Henson.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Henson Fairbury and Johnny Schmidtgall Fairbury; her grandchildren, Jamie Foster of Des Moines, IA, Jeremy Henson, Nicholas Henson (Rachael) and Michelle Schmidtgall; her great grandchildren, Jacob Foster, Zavier Henson, Natalie, Nadia, Noelle Henson, Zachary, Evan and Isiaha Flores; and her siblings, George, John Jr. Wheaton and Emma Hetherington.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Fairbury or South East Livingston County Ambulance Service (SELCAS).
