She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Wiegand and Caroline Moser Wiegand; and her siblings, Lester, Paul, Joe, Laverne, Wilbur, Ben, Caroline Butikofer and Edith Zimmerman.

She is survived by: her husband Melvin N. Steffen; and her siblings, David Wiegand (Ethel) of Forrest and Virginia Hilti of Pontiac.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
