It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kathy Poppe of Fairbury, Illinois, who passed away on December 20, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle Ricketts and Mary Ruth Ricketts (Stephens); and her grandson Spencer Kirwan. She is survived by: her children, Lori Dietz (Jay) of Naperville and Mike Hibsch (Cindi) of Nashville, TN; her stepdaughters, Darci Kirwan (Mike) of Kappa and Dena Poppe of Bridgeview; her grandchildren, Claire, Jack Dietz, Sophia and Tyler Hibsch; her stepgrandchildren, Jared Poppe, Zach and Hannah Kirwan; and her siblings, Steve Ricketts and Jan Reis (John) of Fairbury.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Duffy-Pils Memorial (100 W Maple St, Fairbury, IL 61739). A memorial service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cooksville Fire Station (102 N Jeffrey St, Cooksville, IL 61730).
