He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Leroy and Florence Selby Parks; his spouse Karon Ward; his children, Robert William "Buddy" Parks of LaMarque, TX, Jean Anne Champlain of Bloomington, Laura Kay King of Rantoul, James Richard Parks Jr. (Shanelle) of Mentone, CA, Elizabeth Sharon Parks of Fairbury and Davie Jo Stabe (Matt); and his siblings, Laura Parks (Bill Marchment) of Potomac, Robert Parks (Janie Gibson) of Shelbyville, Tom Parks (Judy) of Fairbury and Patti Hitchcock (Steve) of Espyville, PA.. He was also cherished by 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
