He is survived by: his wife Ernestina Solis; his children, Evanna Chavez of Fairbury, Sergio Chavez (Jodi Price) of Fairbury and Sesar Chavez (Christina) of Fairbury; his siblings, Gumecindo Chavez (Rosa) of McAllen, TX, Cesar Chavez (Yolanda), Gustavo Chavez, Servando Chavez and Sylvia Urbina of McAllen, TX; and his stepsister Martha Lara of Auburndale, FL.. He is also survived by six grandchildren, one great granddaughter.
