He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Gerber and Matilda Gerber (Wanner); and his siblings, Emanuel Gerber, Margaret Fehr, Mary Lou, Donald and Ronald Gerber.
He is survived by: his wife Esther; his children, Wayne Gerber (Carolyn) of Fairbury, Kathy Leman (Jerry) of Secor, Alan Gerber (Marcia) of Forrest, Sandra Schneider (Jim) of Fairbury and Trish Steidinger (Martin) of Fairbury; his sisters, Rosetta Stoller of Fairbury and Betty Enserink of Escondido, CA; his sister-in-law Faith Gerber of Vernon, CT; and his brothers, Melvin Gerber (Mildred) of Ellington, CT. and Everett Gerber (Nancy) of Ellington, CT..
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be directed to Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury; Apostolic Christian Church of Forrest, or OSF Hospice.
