He is survived by: his mother Adele Klitzing Smith (Charles) of Dunnellon, FL; his daughter Jessa Marie Smith of Fairbury; his brother Jason Smith of Fairbury; and his stepsiblings, Shiela Minard of Watseka, Lynn Lewis of Frankfort, KY, Rick Kraay of Kankakee, Terry Kraay of Harden, KY and Chad Strasburger of Frankfort, KY..

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Duffy-Pils Memorial (100 W Maple St, Fairbury, IL 61739).
