He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Walter and Ruth Schlipf Walter; his wife Marjorie Walter (Jessup); his brothers, Richard and Willard Walter; his daughter-in-law Sharon Walter; and his granddaughter Natalie Walter.
He is survived by: his sons, Gary Walter (Cindy) and Jay Walter (Marcia); his granddaughters, Michelle Clemons (Josh) and Ashley Youngsma (Bryan) of Franklin, TN; his great grandchildren, Lilli, Lydia, Lucy Clemons and Theodore Walter Youngsma; his sister Eleanor Honegger; and his sister-in-law Colleen Walter of Fairbury. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
