She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruno Peters and Anne Peters. She is survived by: her husband John Makar Jr.; her children, Loranne May (Paul M.), John Bruno Makar (Cindy) and Janine Makar; her grandchildren, Larissa (Christian Dupree), Kristi, Kayla, Johnathan and Elizabeth; and her sister Lorna Dressler (late Forrest G., Jr.). She is also survived by family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her loving memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Midwest Akita Rescue Society, or her granddaughter Larissa's foundation, #halfthestoryproject.
