She was predeceased by: her husband Tom; her son William; her parents, Jack Clohessy and Kit Clohessy; her sister Patsy; and her brother-in-law John Glennon.

She is survived by: her children, Peg, Eileen, Mike (Susan), Maureen (Joe), Patrick (Toni), Tom Jr., Terri and Jack (Deb); her grandchildren, Tom, Maureen (Lydia), Colin, Kyle (Emily), Kelly, Andrew, Adam (Emily), Kellan (Georgia), Marek, Brendan (Megi), Kathleen, Jacquie, Lyndon and Maddie (Micah); and her siblings, Maureen Connolly (Jim) and Jack Clohessy (Judy).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a charity close to Kay's heart.
