He was predeceased by: his parent Onetia Bauer; his mother-in-law Linda S. Bauer; his wife Linda S. Bauer; his son Richard Ray; his father Henry Bauer, Sr.; his brothers, Delmar Bauer, Roy Bauer and Henry Bauer, Jr.; and his great grandchild Cayden Flowers.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Bauer (Tammy) of Sparta, IL, Chris Dunmyer (David) of Elkville, IL and Michelle Schuessler (Chad Roscow) of Sparta, IL; his grandchildren, Hillary Ellett (Ryne), Ava Bauer, Dylan Dunmyer (Haley), Conner Ramsey (Wesley), Heather Smith (Walter), Shae Schuessler (Mike Kennedy), Stephani Ray (Zachary Clevenger), Courtney Ray, Dilyn Ray and Aleigha Ray; and his pet Peppe. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
