He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Esther Rolando-Plath; his children, Jeffrey Plath (Stephanie Schwartzkopf) and Lori Plath; his stepchildren, Dorothy Rolando-List (Philip), Kim Moeller (Nick) and John Rolando (Don Kephart); his grandchildren, Timothy Plath (Ashley), Andrew Plath (Lindsay), Rachel and Mary-Grace Schwartzkopf; his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Ratkos (Noel Davis) and Jordan Ratkos (Amber); his great grandchildren, Max and Evelynn; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Haylee and Layla; his cousin Ken Ross; and his pets, Henri and Patrick.
