With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Akemi Yamada (Evanston, Illinois), who passed away on December 30, 2020 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mildred Akemi Yamada to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Kawanaga and Roy Kawanaga; and her siblings, Betty Fukuda, Shirley Terada, Patricia Abe, Gladys Fujiwara and Dr. Henry Kawanaga.
She is survived by: her husband Dr. Richard Yamada; her children, Keith Yamada (Wendy), Christina Yamada and Brian Yamada (Alicia); her grandchildren, Haley, Trevor Yamada, Adriana, Simone De La Torre, Jaxon and Dylan Yamada; and her sisters, Jane Kurakazu and Josephine Takaki. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Due to complications stemming from the worldwide pandemic, a small private service will be held at a later date.
