With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Jane DeSloover (Evanston, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on May 15, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George DeRoeck and Elisa Meuleman; her husband Walter Emiel DeSloover; and her siblings, George DeRoeck, Germaine Barkemeyer and Walter DeRoeck.
She is survived by: her brother Roger DeRoeck; her children, Michael DeSloover, Mary Ann Collins (Bradley) and Lisa Herzog (Garry); her grandsons, Stephen Collins (Mary), Daniel, David DeSloover, Hans and Luke Herzog; and her great grandchildren, Aubrey, Evan Collins, Adeline and Hanako DeSloover.
Donations can be made to Mercy Home, in honor of our mother, who appreciated their televised Sunday Mass for the homebound.
