He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Mary Murray; his children, Elizabeth Murray and Martha Murray; his siblings, Kay Price (Bill), Matthew (Joanne), Mark and Michael Murray; his parents-in-law, Jean Yale and Robert Yale; and his siblings-in-law, John Yale (Keri), Martha Leinenweber (Thomas) and Thomas Yale. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Evanston Township High School Boosters.
