We are sad to announce that on October 13, 2018, at the age of 93, Johannes Weertman (Evanston, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Julia Weertman; and his grandson Johannes Weertman. He is survived by: his wife Professor Emerita Julia Randall; his children, Julia (Nicholas Zerebny) and Bruce (Leslie Miller); and his grandson Willem.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Field Museum, 1400 South Lake Shore Drive Chicago, Illinois 60605.
