Eugene left this world on January 2, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emanuel Thiele and Josephine Thiele; and his brother Lawrence. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Brown; his children, Lynette Keto (Chris) and Mark Thiele (Stefanie); his stepson Samuel Brown; his grandchildren, Jacob Keto, Lucas Keto, Ethan Keto, Emmett Thiele and Ellie Luz Thiele; and his siblings, Charles, Phillip, Janet and Lowell.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Elliott Chapel (3131 Simpson St, Evanston, IL 60201).
