She was predeceased by: her parents, Rattansey Palan and Gomti Palan; and her spouse J. V. Ruparel. She is survived by: her children, Nisha Ruparelsen (Kunal Sen), Jagriti Ruparel and Shailen Ruparel (Padmaja).
A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Haben Funeral Home & Crematory (8057 Niles Center Rd, Skokie, IL 60077).
