She is survived by: her husband David Ruber of Morton Grove, IL; her sons, Robert of Buffalo Grove, IL and Gregory Ruber of Evanston, IL; her father Robert Strohm of Homewood, IL; her siblings, Ronald Strohm (Joan) of Flossmoor, IL and Sharyn Hoppe (Mark); and her children, Karina, Brian and Nicholas of Gurnee, IL..

The capstone of her career was successfully leading the hospital through the Covid-19 Pandemic with her team.
