He was predeceased by: his parents, August Wentland and Evelyn Wentland (Bristo); and his sisters, Vernette, Normandy and Sandy.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Bucki; his sons, Vernon E. Wentland of Varna, Charles Wentland (Maria) of Lockport and Sharise Sutter (John) of Rome; and his granddaughters, Mia and Brianna Wentland.
