She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton Hesselein and Carolyne Hesselein (Philippi); her husband Jack W. Carius, Jr.; her daughters, Beverly Jean and Sheila Kay; her granddaughter Amy Marie Carius; and her great grandchild Eowyn Barney.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Hauser (Les) of St. Charles, MO, Debra Slagle (Tony) of South Bend, IN, Elizabeth Klaus (Dan) of Washington, IL and Dave Carius (Kris) of Washington; and her sister Pat Blumenshine (Bill) of The Woodlands, TX. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
