He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. DeWitt and Ida June Riggs DeWitt. He is survived by: his children, Ronnie DeWitt, Melinda S. Snare, Viola M. Lyons, Steven A. DeWitt and Ralph B. DeWitt (Dawnya); and his siblings, Sharon McCana and Eric DeWitt. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
