She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William E. Birky and Gertrude K. Birky (Eisele); her spouse Carroll B. Cade; her brother Robert Birky; her stepsons, Stephen Cade (Barbara) of Hot Springs, Ark and John Cade of Simi, Cali.; her stepgranddaughters, Karen Edelen (Todd), Diane Bauhof (Mike), Catharine Pickett (Tony) and Elisabeth Cade (Deborah Petrovich); her siblings, Florence Gerig and Merlin Birky (LaRelda); her nieces, Sally Erdel (Timothy) and Lois Birky; her great-nieces, Sarah Beth Getz (Matt) and Rachel Martens (Peter); and her great-nephew Matthew Erdel (Megan). She was also cherished by two great-grandnephews and one great-grandniece.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Normal.
