He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. Campbell and Melba J. Wilson Campbell; and his sister Gladys Peters-Wehle. He is survived by: his wife Mary Crum; his sons, Jerry L. Campbell, Jr. of Cedar Rapids, IA and Jeff Campbell (Jeanie) of Eureka; his grandchildren, Taylor and Lucas; and his brother Chuck Campbell (Jill) of Normal.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
