He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Slater and Lola A. Slater (Schabatka); and his brother Joseph E. Slater. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Jean of Eureka; his daughter Amber L. Harmon (Charlie) of Eureka; his grandsons, Joseph and Jack Harmon; and his pet Molly.
