He is survived by: his children, Valerie Carlson (Karl) of Playa, Eric Spires (Lisa) of Peoria, IL and Michael Spires of Lake Wildwood, IL.; his close friend Murphy; his grandchildren, Carter Spires of Cincinnati, OH, Karly Spires of St Louis, MO, Iris and Violet Spires of Lake Wildwood, IL; his sister Vivian Spires of Oglesby, IL.; and his former wives, Diane Lindsay and Penny Wilhelm.
