It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe A. Silvey of Essex, Illinois, born in Xenia, Illinois, who passed away on November 10, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Silvey and Mary Silvey; and his brother Edward Silvey. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Silvey; his children, Todd Silvey (Jo Beth) of Elgin, IL, Brock Silvey (Justine) of Evanston, IL and Robin Egerton of Mulberry, AR; his sister Fayeanne Baker (Dale) of Farina, IL; and his sister-in-law Joy Silvey of Leadbetter, KY. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name to the Coal City United Methodist Church or to Joliet Area Community Hospice Home would be appreciated.
