He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Petersen and Margaret Petersen (Davidsen); his wife Althea L. Weber; and his siblings, James Petersen, Eugene Petersen and Lucille Willis.
He is survived by: his children, Bob Petersen (Betty Ann) of Milton, WI, Gary Petersen (Michele) of Rochelle, IL and Kathy Kuhnen (Don) of Erie, IL; his grandchildren, Anne Marie Daniels (Brandon), Carl Petersen (Sarah), Rhett Kuhnen (Andrea), Koby Kuhnen, Devyn Williams (Riley) and Mason VanDierendonck; and his great grandchildren, Molly, Emmett, Hudson Petersen, Braxton and Cameron Williams.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gibson - Bode Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd. - Erie (616 Main St, Erie, IL 61250). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Gibson - Bode Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd. (616 Main St, Erie, IL 61250).
