He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Collinge and Lura Collinge (Dunfield); and his brother Ellis Eugene. He is survived by: his former wife Roberta Hervey; his wife Shirley Templeton-Knott; his daughters, Joyce Davidson of Lexington, KY, Jacque Collinge of Indianapolis, IN and Julie Hostetler (Greg) of Barrington, IL; his stepdaughter Candice Knott of Blue Springs, MO; his sister Frances Northup (Harlan) of Okahumpka, FL; his grandchildren, Rebecca Davidson (Matt Kramer), Gavin Hostetler and Rachel Hostetler; and his great grandchildren, Owen Koenig and Harper Kramer.
