He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Moomey and Angeline Moomey; his son Danny Dale Moomey, Jr.; his sister Sandy; and his brother-in-law Lemar Nalley.

He is survived by: his wife Laura "JoJo" Moomey; his children, Dani JoAnn Moomey, Matthew Lee Moomey (Susan) and Kelly Dawn Wakefield; his grandchildren, Kaiden Matthew Moomey, Emma Kathryn Golden, Grace Shey Elizabeth Golden, Jamie Lea Krusinski, Kalyn Rae Krusinski and Kody James Krusinski; and his brother Tom Moomey (Paula).
