With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Eckles of Enfield, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 28, 2024 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley Eckles to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle Melvin and Louise Melvin (York); her spouse Warney Eckles; her son Gary Allen; her granddaughter Shannon Healy; her great grandchild Knox Allen; and her sisters, Nena Dye and June Dozier.
She is survived by: her daughter Marsha Healy (Raymond); her stepchildren, Jerry Eckles (Paula) and Loretta Smith; her grandchildren, Kim Douglas (Zach), Josh Allen (Janette), Zach Allen, Justin Healy and Abbey Thomas (Chris); and her sister Martha Muehlenbein. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, several step grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Shirley's memory may be made to Springerton Christian Church and will be accepted at Stendeback Funeral Home, or by mail at 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821.
