It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Barger of Enfield, Illinois, born in Flora, Illinois, who passed away on July 11, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Pennington and Hollis Pennington (Fitch); her siblings, James Pennington, Jewel Rutland, Sandra Hatcher and Ethel Stark; and her brothers-in-law, Kenny Stark, Richard Broz and Glenn Hatcher.
She is survived by: her husband Dean Barger of Enfield, IL; her sons, Steven Barger (Cathlene Garrison) of Enfield, IL and Tony Barger of Carbondale, IL; her grandchildren, Steven Crow, Ray Barger and Kelsi Barger; and her siblings, Billa Broz of Louisville, IL, James Clifford Pennigton of Enfield, IL and Ronnie Pennington of Effingham, IL. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Ruth's memory to Stendeback Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses, and will be accepted at the funeral home or mailed to 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL. 62821.
