He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Sexton and Norma Sexton (Markham); and his wife Jerri L. Fiyalko (Fiyalko). He is survived by: his daughter Emily Sexton; his siblings, Darrell Sexton and Linda Sue Gilbert; and his grandchildren, Miranda, Elijah and Kori Sexton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Gene's memory to the Norris City American Legion and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
