He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert and Mary Edna Smith (Campbell); his former wife Thelma Jane Hedger; his children, Robert Eugene Smith and Mary Jane Smith; his granddaughter Misty Lee James Wadsworth; his son-in-law Randy James; his sister Carolyn Smith Wicker; his siblings-in-law, Louise Robertson, James Wicker and Ray "Buck" Robertson; and his great grandchild Austin Lloyd.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Smith; his daughters, Dana Garlick (Jerry), Vicki Sue James and Terri Lynn Trout (Jeff); his daughter-in-law Chris Smith; his stepchildren, Greg Hauk (Lisa), Michael Hauk (Julie) and Kim Broussard (Darrell); and his sisters-in-law, Mildred Medlin (Lawrence) and Susan Pearson (Bruce). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made in Don's memory to Wesley Chapel Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City who is in charge of arrangements.
