He was predeceased by: his brothers, Robert "Bob" Jones and William A. Jones. He is survived by: his spouse Ellen Jones of Energy; his son Kevin Jones of Carterville; his children-in-law, Lori Jones of Carterville, Pamela Jones of Energy, Joyce Rentfro, Doug Rentfro of Carterville, Patti Newton and Rick Newton of Marion; his grandchildren, Jessica Rentfro, Jimmy Rentfro, Laci Smith, Orion Smith, Lucas Newton and Nick Newton; and his great grandchildren, Cole Newton, Tristan Newton, Loegan Newton and Keegan Newton.
The family prefers memorial donations made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, 204 Halfway Road, Marion, IL; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
