It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Hillman (Energy, Illinois), born in Herrin, Illinois, who passed away on March 25, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hershel Hopkins and Margaret Hopkins (Bird); her former husband Albert Lyle Commean; her husband Paul Hillman; her grandson Jonathan Commean; her great grandchild Gideon Coble; and her siblings, Glen, Lebron, Leland, LaVerne, Leonard Hopkins, Hazel Craig and Hildred Culp.
She is survived by: her son Jerry; her daughter-in-law Karen Commean of Chatham; her grandchildren, Timothy Commean of Herrin, Mark, Emily Commean of Chatham, Marci, Bryan Coble of Irving Park, Melissa Buchanan of Springfield, David Surprenant of Springfield and Nicole Dodge of West Bend, Wisconsin.; and her great grandchildren, Avery, Brody Commeans, Matthew, Caleb, Gwendolyn Coble, Michael, Dylan Surprenant, Tyler, Kayla, Cody and Bella Dodge.
