It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Briggs of Emden, Illinois, who passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though William may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Briggs and Mildred Sieh Briggs; his wife Norma Jean Hilst; and his grandson Troy Clark. He is survived by: his sons, Greg Briggs (Lori) of Manito, Neil Briggs (Deb) of Erie, PA and Mark Briggs (Nicole) of Emden; and his brother Gary Briggs (Bev) of Colorado. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church (120 Market St, Emden, IL 62635).
